Not sure if you heard about our little corner of the world last week but thought I would share how our SEH Mobile app “Ademino” helped us thru our darkest moments after 5 separate tornados ripped thru our area in the same night causing wide spread damage and power outages to some 70,000 homes and businesses. While our office didn’t suffer a direct hit, we were without power for a day and a half. And our backup site 8 miles away was also without power.
Long story short, the “Ademino” App was a life saver, in that it let our CSR’s (who were armed with the app on their smartphones) the ability to pull up the companies and report the claims without having to look up Company Claim numbers.
Here is what David Ademino had to say… THE OTHER SHINING STAR OUT OF THIS WAS OUR MOBILE APPLICATION FOR APPLE AND ANDROID “SMART” PHONES. JEFF HAD ONE GREAT EXAMPLE OF THIS TOOL WHILE IN THE FIELD WITH A CLAIMANT. HE PUSHED THE BUTTON TO BADGER MUTUAL, GOT AN ADJUSTOR AND HAD THE CLAIM BASICALLY SETTLED WHILE STANDING IN THE DRIVEWAY OF OUR INSURED. WE NEED TO ENCOURAGE THE CONTINUED USE AND EXPANSION OF THIS.
We did have at least one customer report a claim to us thru the app as well. Not sure how many have used the app to report the claim directly to the company but we posted on FB and Twitter for folks to access our mobile app to report any claims so I’m sure there were some.
While Disaster Recovery was never really one of the reasons for us to pursue creating the app, it sure came in handy for doing exactly that!
